Internet Overload

Apparently the internet is taking over the world!
Personally I'm starting the believe this theory, I usually cant stand going on the internet for more than an hour, I only stay on it longer when I am made to and even then i cant wait to get off!! I suppose the only positive things about the internet is being able to keep in contact with your friends/family, but even then, what if their out? Cant we just contact them via the phone? But even phones these days have 'applications' for Facebook, Twitter and Google! In my experience I have seen my friends constantly attached to their phones updating their Facebook, like posting things such as "I'm now sat down" ...Seriously, Who needs to know that? its technically spamming peoples lives, with your stupid idiotic posts! Imagine get a letter each time updating their status on Facebook!

I suppose I'm being a little harsh to those people who actually do that, I mean I update my Facebook at least once every 2 days. Not even that sometimes, but even when I do Its just letting people know where I am, who I'm with and If the must contact me just giving me a text. I very rarely have to keep up with friends online because I actually have the decency to leave my house and see my friends face to face!

I do believe their are plenty of negative sides to the internet, for example Addiction, too many people theses days get addicted too easily and can end up living two lives, for example one person could be terribly shy in 'real life' and then the second their on the internet their a completely different person, this could also be seen as a benefit as we tend to have a lot more courage online. but eventually this could end up effecting our relationships with friends we see day too day, one moment were online having a long winded conversation about private things, but the second they come up to us and try and talk about it once more, we just.. cower away? Does this eventually miss lead people into thinking your not

A benefit of the Internet could also be the fact we have access to all information, personally I think its good to have the opportunity to be able to explore the vastness of the world, but personally I think its best to learn the hard way, I mean reading something on the internet might stick in your head for a little while but eventually It'll fade. whereas doing things in person will be more beneficial.

To conclude, I'm very happy i do not have the Internet access at home because I fear I will be sucked into wanting to live a horrible lifestyle online.
