My Tribute (:

Closing the curtain on Everest Never Falls

On the 27th of February the five young boys, whose age’s range from 16 – 17 played their last headline show with Your Last Breath. The kicked off the show with a couple of crowd pleasers such as ‘Lemonade’ and a few of their new creations to make the crowed go crazy. Finishing off their half hour set with Enter Shikari’s  ‘Sorry your not a winner’ and their very own great creation: ‘Step Back ‘. By the end of the night, the audience were shouting out requests; not letting the band leave the stage.

Front man Jack Warren and lead guitarist George Puckett (who also plays for Your Last breath) say, “I believe that this wasn’t in fact our last show. That because of our great talent and the amount of energy we bring that we will soon be back hitting the stage with new songs and possibly new members.”

Back when they were in year 9, George Puckett (lead Guitarist) Stumbled upon Jack, Ben and Ed while playing a game of Bulldog, That very same day George decided he needed new friends after getting into a bit of trouble with his current friends. After that game he decided he would hang out with them more often. During that time George had been learning guitar and wanted to start up a band. He didn’t realise how his decision to move friendship groups would soon change his life for the better.
After hearing ‘Enter Shikari – Sorry your not a winner’ they realised they wanted to create a sound similar to them. After recruiting Tom, as their bassist, they soon got down to writing songs, playing small gigs and starting up what would soon be a great band!

Having their first gig in Kingswood the band previously called ‘Nuclear Invasion’ didn’t get a fantastic reception, but persevering they then played at Oldland Music Festival. This gig showed how much energy they can create in a crowed. This is when Nuclear Invasion became known.

After being together for a year, they decided a change in sound was in order and in doing so they changed their name to ‘Everest Never Falls’.

Even though the show was an E.P. launch for ‘Your Last Breath’ it was in fact Everest Never Falls who pulled the emotion out of us, as we watched them tear up the stage for the last time. It was an honour to be a part of this crowed.

Internet Overload

Apparently the internet is taking over the world!
Personally I'm starting the believe this theory, I usually cant stand going on the internet for more than an hour, I only stay on it longer when I am made to and even then i cant wait to get off!! I suppose the only positive things about the internet is being able to keep in contact with your friends/family, but even then, what if their out? Cant we just contact them via the phone? But even phones these days have 'applications' for Facebook, Twitter and Google! In my experience I have seen my friends constantly attached to their phones updating their Facebook, like posting things such as "I'm now sat down" ...Seriously, Who needs to know that? its technically spamming peoples lives, with your stupid idiotic posts! Imagine get a letter each time updating their status on Facebook!

I suppose I'm being a little harsh to those people who actually do that, I mean I update my Facebook at least once every 2 days. Not even that sometimes, but even when I do Its just letting people know where I am, who I'm with and If the must contact me just giving me a text. I very rarely have to keep up with friends online because I actually have the decency to leave my house and see my friends face to face!

I do believe their are plenty of negative sides to the internet, for example Addiction, too many people theses days get addicted too easily and can end up living two lives, for example one person could be terribly shy in 'real life' and then the second their on the internet their a completely different person, this could also be seen as a benefit as we tend to have a lot more courage online. but eventually this could end up effecting our relationships with friends we see day too day, one moment were online having a long winded conversation about private things, but the second they come up to us and try and talk about it once more, we just.. cower away? Does this eventually miss lead people into thinking your not

A benefit of the Internet could also be the fact we have access to all information, personally I think its good to have the opportunity to be able to explore the vastness of the world, but personally I think its best to learn the hard way, I mean reading something on the internet might stick in your head for a little while but eventually It'll fade. whereas doing things in person will be more beneficial.

To conclude, I'm very happy i do not have the Internet access at home because I fear I will be sucked into wanting to live a horrible lifestyle online.

21/9/10

I have had to repost everything because everything got deleted.
So last week in Alex's class it was split into two groups, one half went down to the print room for the first half of the lesson, my group stayed upstairs as we learned how to follow people on their blogs and progress with making our blogs more accessible, in the second half i went downstairs and learned how to print, in this we had a piece of plastic and put a small layer of water based ink onto it, then lightly placed a piece of paper on top of it and drew a plant, or object of my choice. Then after we finished that we took the plate and made a negative version of our plant. I really enjoyed the second half as it was practical.
